With 20+ years of management experience in the home building industry, Mike is a well-known advisor and noted authority in financial, operational, and sales management. He has consulted with countless builders during his career.
Mike is a proud alumnus of Penn State University and earned his MBA from Marymount University. He started learning the industry from the ground up in his family's home building business. Mike then spent seven years at NVR in production and sales management, before becoming the Director of Business Analysis for the Economics Group at the National Association of Home Builders. During his time there, Mike authored several books for the economics department.
Today Mike is the Chief Operations Officer of Classic Communities and Red Door Homes as well as a partner in SMA Consulting. He is a frequent speaker at NAHB's International Builder Show and various local HBA's. He is also the author of the bestselling builder book, Financial Management for the Non-Financial Manager and co-author of The Business Planning Guide and the SMA Sales Manual, a complete and definitive guide for new home sales representatives.Back to Speaker List
